Then yes, the case would have to be thrown out because obviously no murder has taken place. But then Mona would be in big trouble.

Here’s how I see it going down:

The Boo Boo’s icepick used to break into Mona’s house will lead the police to the ice cream factory. The Liars’ fingerprints are all over the factory (we saw ‘A’ looking at them with an ultraviolet light).

Mona’s laptop was also logged in to the internet from the ice cream factory at the same time the girls were there. Police will get these logs, and all of the Liars will be implicated in Mona’s murder, and subsequently arrested.

The Liars will be cuffed and transported in a prison van, but their trip will be cut short when ‘A’ hijacks the van and takes them to the Dollhouse.
